Name: Amanda
Birthday: 11/19/1983
Gender: Female

Interests: I love reading literature! Some of my favorites are Tuck Everlasting and the Harry Potter series. I also love painting! I like to paint symetrical pieces, flowers and my feet! I now knit and I am enjoying knitting!
Expertise: I like to cook and bake for my husband and our friends. However, Aaron is a better cook than I am as far as making a recipe taste REALLY good. BUT, he takes far too long for him to be the chef in the Lawton Household. Therefore, since I enjoy cooking and am not bad at it, I am the expert cook here!!!

This weekend I made a really cute Thanksgiving banner. It's not stupid, like most banners you see out there. It's nice and homemade and adorable. I am thrilled to display it during this festive season. Maybe I'll make a Christmas one, too. Oh, how nice. I'll post a picture of my banner when it is completely finished and hanging somewhere in my house.

Today is WALK for LIFE!!!!!  Come to Jordan Valley Park to walk and support life at 11 o'clock this morning!! YAY my youth are going....way to go guys!

Art Walk was pretty sweet last night. Aaron and I went on a date there! We saw some really cool quilted prints at the gallery next to Emack and Bolio's and then we got some ice cream. We also saw an ugly cross dresser and a man wearing a woman's blouse and pants...which were both too small = gross. There's a flea market downtown next to the Mudhouse. I'm not sure if it's new or if it's just never been open for art walk. We rarely go downtown, so it could have been there all along and we just never noticed. Well, we went in there last night and Aaron found a 'Presley's Country Jubilee' biking shirt for $10! and it was just his size. Way to go Aaron! He looks pretty hot in it! It's bright yellow!!!! yay for art walk.

I'm in Maine and I'm lovin' it! The weather here is rainy and cool, but we've spent a lot of time with family and friends. Aaron and I are enjoying our break and today we will be headed to the Missionette's Powette for the weekend. It'll be so much fun and I am praying that God prepares the hearts of the girls for all that he has for them this weekend. Some of these girls don't go to camp in the summertime and this is there only time away from home where they can seek the Lord with their friends for a couple of days. I pray that God will soften their hearts and prepare the girls for his mighty outpouring! Please pray for me as I'm speaking tonight, tomorrow night, and Sunday morning. Thanks all - much love!

I'M GRADUATED!!!!!  I know that it's a little late to be rejoicing, but I realized that I hadn't posted any information about my recent achievement! I graduated on May 4, 2006. It was long and sort of boring, but it actually occurred AND I no longer have to drive to CBC at 7:25 in the morning for ethics classes, or english classes, or guitar classes! WOOHOOO!!! Life is pretty sweet right now in regards to that.

Hey, I'm going on a trip to Maine soon. From June 3 through June 11, Aaron and I are going to visit my parents and I will be speaking at a Missionettes Camping Retreat at the end of the week. This will be my first official, professional out of town speaking engagement! Woah :) I grew up in the district where I'll be speaking, and I know many of the girls who will be attending the campout - a funny fact though - I only made it to daisies as a missionette! hehe :) This will be an exciting opportunity!

Camp is coming up, June 12 though June 16!!!! Who's excited????? (I AM!!!!!) I love camp. Last year was a lot of fun, the camp ground is beautiful and the kids were great! I'm glad to be bringing such an awesome group of students to camp this year! God has incredible things in store for each and every one of us! I'm looking forward to it.

Today will be full of preparations for a junior high school students party at the youth house, cleaning, and doing laundry! Woah, baby....sounds like a fun filled day!!!! Ya'll enjoy your day!!! See-ya :)
